REL-(9R , 12S ) - 9 ,10 ,11 ,12-tetrahydro - 9 ,12 - epoxy - 1 H-diindolo [123-fg :32'21'-kl ] pyrrolo [34-i ][16 ] benzodiazocine – 13(2 H ) dione is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the indolocarbazole class of polycyclic aromatic compounds.[1][7] It acts as an inhibitor of serine/threonine-protein kinase Chk1 (Checkpoint kinase 1), a key regulator in cell cycle control and DNA damage response pathways.[1] The compound is primarily studied as an experimental tool for research purposes and has not been approved for clinical use. Its main mechanism involves inhibition of Chk1 activity in human cells.
